About The Colloquy at The General Theological Seminary

On selected Wednesday (9:50am-10:50am) and Friday (10:30am-12:30pm) mornings throughout the semester, General will host an interdisciplinary range of scholars and practitioners to share a paper, presentation, project or performance and engage in a dialogue with the community.

Students should note that when scheduled for a Wednesday morning, the Colloquy is offered en lieu of advising.

For guests to the Seminary, when scheduled for Friday morning, the Colloquy is preceded by a brief and informal service of spoken Morning Prayer at 9:50am in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd. Guests are welcome to join the community for lunch in the Refectory after the colloquy. The cost for lunch is $18 per person. Tickets for lunch can be purchased at the Front Desk upon arrival.

All meetings will be held in Sherred 1B (unless otherwise indicated), on the southeastern corner of The Close on Chelsea Square. General is accessed through the main gate at 440 West 21st Street.
