On Thursday, November 10, you might have thought that Christmas had come early to General Seminary. The smell of evergreen was pervasive as the Chapel was decked out in splendid Christmas decoration, including a Christmas tree. Congregants filled the stalls, dressed in their holiday-best, and the chapel chimes rang out Christmas carols. This was the perfect Christmas setting -- except for the large lamps, lighting, tripods, and cables throughout the Chapel. These decorations were actually for the recording of the CBS Television special, "Christmas in Chelsea Square," to air nationwide on Christmas Eve. This large undertaking is the culmination of months of planning by GTS's Vice President for External Relations, Bruce Parker, '84. With the assistance of the national church's media team, the video recordings will now be edited down for the 58-minute broadcast. We hope you and your family, wherever in the country you are, can join GTS on Christmas Eve at 11:30 p.m. on CBS. If not, there is always the DVR.
