Pretending Bible Stories Course Shortened to Two Days

The course AT/SGC 370 - Pretending Bible Stories Practicum, an intensive-format course in the Spiritual Direction and Spiritual Guidance of Children programs, has been rescheduled to run just two days of spring break, Thursday March  8, from 9am to 3pm, and Friday, March 9, from 9am to 5pm. The reason: The Episcopal Diocese of New York has scheduled the consecration of a new bishop for Saturday morning. The course will teach the art of dramatic play as a Bible study method: Using basic improvisational theatre techniques, students will learn to embody a Biblical text for an experience of deep play towards original insights. Students will also learn to interpret the Scriptural insights through mythic, mnemonic, and contemporary midrashic points of view. Come and see and play!
