Faithful Fundraising Workshop Highlights Fundraising as Ministry - April 21

We have heard from many interested parties with date conflicts and thus have made the difficult decision to postpone the workshop to allow for greater attendance and exchange.  We are currently looking at dates in the autumn of 2012. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On April 21, 2012, GTS will offer a "Faithful Fundraising" workshop from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. led by Suzanne Culhane, who has advised organizations such as the State Department and Trinity Church Wall Street on best practices in non-profit development and has fourteen years of non-profit development experience.  The program is geared toward fundraising in faith communities but is applicable to all charitable organizations.  In our present economic climate, this workshop addresses a real and pressing need for many.

The workshop is designed so that participants will gain a comprehensive knowledge of fundraising and be empowered to improve giving in their communities.  Both informative and interactive techniques will be used.  Drawing on the field's best practices adn grounded in the belief that we are called to live in abundance and without fear, the program will include: Building Blocks of a Successful Fundraising Program, Methods of Asking, Annual Giving, Grant Proposals, Major and Capital Gifts, Planned Giving, and Donor Correspondence.

Registration is $125.00, and includes beverages and snacks as well as take-away materials. The day will take place at the Desmond Tutu Conference Center on the seminary campus. There is a discounted rate available for current GTS students. Register at
