J. Robert Wright, St. Mark's Church in the Bowery Professor of Ecclesiastical History, is participating during April in an interfaith speaker series, If I Forget You O Jerusalem, at Trinity Wall Street on the topic of the meaning of Jerusalem to the three Abrahamic faiths. On Tuesday evening, April 17, Prof. Wright will give a talk entitled Jerusalem - Its Agony and Ecstasy about the Church of the Holy Sepulchre as the central worldwide shrine of the Christian faith, its amazing significance and, at the same time, its ecumenical tragedy. "No committed Christian can 'forget' Jerusalem," noted Wright. "All must be ready to both rejoice and agonize with it." Other speakers in the series include a rabbi, an imam and a biblical archeologist. To learn more, visit the Trinity's website.
