Please remember The Rev. Samuel Lea Snodgrass (Class of 1952) in your prayers, who departed from this life on Ascension Day, 2012. Father Snodgrass led a full life of service to the church. He was Rector of St. Paul's in the South Bronx from 1958-1964, and then moved to Rockland County where he was Rector of two churches, Trinity Episcopal and St. John's in the Wilderness, until his retirement in 1993. He was also Chaplain at Helen Hayes Hospital, where he continued after retirement, as will as continuing supply work from Westchester to Barnes County until 2010.
He is survived by two daughters, Therese Snodgrass and Catharine Snodgrass, and a sister-in-law, Margaret Snodgrass.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Garnerville, N.Y. on May 31 at 1pm, Bishop Herbert Donovan officiating.
The family has requested that those who are priests please remember Samuel in their celebrations of the Eucharist.
