The St. Nick's Party is a cherished General Seminary tradition and will be held this year next Thursday, 6 December at 6:30 pm, following Evensong, in the Refectory. This event is included in the full meal plan. All others may purchase a ticket for $25.00.
ALL planning to attend (on the meal plan or purchasing a ticket) must RSVP to Caroline Peacock (firstname.lastname@example.org) by 5:00pm on Monday, 3 December. Those purchasing a ticket can write a check payable to "GTS" with "St. Nick Party" in the subject line and deliver it to the Business Office.
The Dean will continue the seminary's tradition and read "A Visit from St. Nicolas" also known as "Twas the Night before Christmas," published in 1823 by our own Clement Clarke Moore. Moore was Professor of Oriental Languages here and donated the land the seminary now occupies.
We'll also have a special Christmas sing-a-long and a visit from St. Nick himself! Festive dress for the season is encouraged!
To prepare for this party, we encourage all to help with trimming the tree in the Refectory on Monday evening at 7:00 pm. Jeff Geffine will lead the decorating.
