How do I submit something for Up Close?

Getting your information in Up Close is easy. First and foremost, remember that it is the Dean's newsletter of items and events of general interest to the General Seminary community. That is the primary screen that determines if something appears in Up Close. If you think your event or information passes that test, please email your information to upclose@gts.edu. In the body of your email, please include all relevant information. In fact, if you write exactly what you would like to appear, that is even better. The student editor, currently JK Melton, will most likely publish your article within a day or two. Keep in mind, other folk have access to the account and may respond to you instead. There may be some slight editing for style, but we will check with you before making substantial changes. You can even submit an image with your article if you would like for added visibility.

Up Close is a great way to advertise events that you may be organizing at the Seminary. Likewise, if you would like to share an event that you are working on at your field ed parish or in other ministry settings, Up Close can give you a broader platform. If in doubt, scan through the recent posts and see if you think your event would fit with other items included in Up Close--or you can just email and ask at upclose@gts.edu.
