Lunchtime conversations with the Gay Spirit Initiative hosted by the LGBTQ Student Group

The LGBTQ group here at GTS is excited to announce an exciting opportunity for the GTS community. The co-founders of the Gay Spirit Initiative will be joining us for a couple of small group discussions to share our personal journeys of faith and our LGBTQ identities. They have will be here on Thursday, Feb 28th, and Wednesday, March 6th, from 12:30 - 1:30pm.
In co-founder Paul Kimmerling's words:
"Our mission, as the Gay Spirit Initiative, is to foster the development of those in the LGBTQ community who would like to (re)discover and (re)claim their spiritual natures.
We are both out, gay men, and practicing Episcopalians, who reconciled our spiritual and sexual identities much later in our lives. We are convinced this reconciliation is central to living fully authentic and integrated lives as LGBTQ people. We imagine developing programs and resources to help LGBTQ people explore, and hopefully reconcile, these aspects of their identities.
It would be invaluable to hear from those at GTS who have accomplished this reconciliation for themselves (and/or may be serving others who are attempting to do so) so that we might apply these insights to our work with others."
