The Rev. Jim Gill '54 Explores Crossing Borders

The Rev. Jim Gill, Class of 1954 and a former Trustee, has written the January 2013 edition of Vintage Voice, a publication of the Church Pension Group for retired clergy. His article, “Two Worlds,” is about crossing borders–transformational experiences that teach us about ourselves through exposure to another culture or religion. In honor of his late wife’s spiritual legacy, Jim Gill founded General’s Kay Butler Gill Memorial Lecture in Christian Spirituality, presented each spring. The lecture series celebrates Kay’s life-changing experience at The Center for Christian Spirituality and her ministry of “spiritual conversations with others.” This year’s lecture, Thursday, April 11, will be by the Rev. James Martin, SJ, a nationally renowned spiritual teacher.
