Women of General Hold Raffle in Support of "Our Little Roses" Girls

Little-Roses-Girls.jpg

Women of General is holding a raffle of a pair of theatre tickets to the American premier of an all-woman performance of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar to raise funds for Our Little Roses Ministries in Honduras, a home and school for abused, homeless, and orphaned girls, infants to age 18. Our Little Roses Ministries, or Ministerios Nuestras Pequeñas Rosas as it is called in Spanish, began in 1988 with a vision of hope given to Dr. Diana Frade, wife of Bishop Leo Frade of Southeast Florida Diocese.  At present, Our Little Roses serves 65 girls, who consider themselves "sisters". Through education, mental and health care, good nutrition, and Christian love,  they are being prepared and empowered for living active and productive lives. The results of God’s blessings have already been realized by the successful lives of girls who have already graduated.

Our Little Roses Ministries also offers extended ministries, including  a housing project for poor single mothers with a literacy program, a community bilingual school, the Jubilee Center for justice issues, and a Spanish language immersion program for interested students, clergy, mission and medical workers.
