A New Call for Brandt Montgomery '12

The Rev. Brandt Montgomery, Class of 2012, has accepted a call to begin a new ministry as the Chaplain of Ascension Episcopal School in Lafayette, Louisiana, on August 1, 2014. Montgomery currently serves as the curate at Canterbury Episcopal Chapel & Student Center at the University of Alabama. His ministry has also included service to six Episcopal parishes in Alabama, Florida, Texas, Pennsylvania, and New York. Montgomery graduated cum laude from The General Theological Seminary and was the recipient of the George Cabot Ward prize for Biblical Reading and Service to the Church. He is currently a member of General’s Alumni Executive Committee.

Montgomery announced his new call “in a spirit of profound gratitude to the Rt. Rev. Henry N. Parsley, Jr., the Rt. Rev. John McKee Sloan, the Rt. Rev. Santosh K. Marray, and all the clergy and people of the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama, upon whose shoulders I have stood in the start of my ordained vocation.”
