Chelsea Residents and Seminary Community Invited to Celebrate the High Line

To celebrate the opening of the third phase of the High Line this Fall, the nonprofit organization Friends of the High Line has partnered with Processional Arts Workshop to stage a procession that celebrates the Chelsea neighborhood: past, present, and future. Residents of Chelsea, businesses, schools, and other institutions are invited to create the puppets, banners, and other items that will be carried in procession and to join the procession down the High Line on the morning of Saturday, September 20th. The procession will begin at the entrance to the High Line at 820 Washington Street and will continue to the new Rail Yards location. Participants will join the procession at all points along the way, including the 20th Street High Line entrance directly across from the High Line Hotel. The Seminary will host neighbors, friends, and seminarians who will join the procession at that point on our campus beginning at 9:00 AM.

For more information on the workshops and the procession, see the  High Line Procession flyer and stay tuned to UpClose and other Seminary communications.
