On August 11, representatives from The Society for the Increase of the Ministry (SIM) visited The General Theological Seminary to greet and welcome the recipient of the first SIM/Mercer Challenge Scholarship, Jason Roberson '17. Thomas Moore III, SIM Executive Director and Randolph C. Coley, SIM Board Member met with Roberson and General's Dean and President, the Very Rev. Kurt H. Dunkle.
Roberson enters General Seminary this year as the first recipient of the SIM/Mercer Challenge Scholarship which offers merit-based full theological education and formation scholarships to enable bishops to proactively identify and recruit future ordained leaders for ministries that will revitalize the church.
