GTS students in any degree program are invited to register for a two day seminar in financial management led by James B. Jordan. The seminar is the first in the Way of Wisdom curriculum. Mr. Jordan was employed by IBM where he founded, grew, and led two world-wide consulting practices with clients on six continents for IBM Global Services – Global Strategy and Process, and Leadership and Management Development, respectively. He was also the Global Industry Director for the consumer goods industry at Accenture. After a career in global corporations, he founded a Certified Public Accounting practice dedicated to auditing and consulting with predominantly Episcopal churches. Mr. Jordan is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant. He earned his executive masters of business administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, with international business emphasis from London Business School. His speaking engagements include the Episcopal (Diocesan) Business Administrators Conference (EBAC), the Consortium of Endowed Episcopal Parishes (CEEP), several Episcopal seminaries, and various industry and Diocesan events. He is the author of Financial Management for Episcopal Parishes, 2013, Church Publishing, Inc., New York. Mr. Jordan’s recent adjunct engagements include classes at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology-Episcopal Studies, Atlanta, and Church Divinity School of the Pacific, CALL CEU program, Berkeley. He and his wife, Eileen, are members of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Newnan, Georgia. Mr. Jordan is a member of the Association of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
