A spiritual direction course that is offered as an intensive weekend each fall and spring will begin in a few weeks. Westina Matthews, one of our community's spiritual directors and CCS faculty, will be teaching AT 330: Contemplative Supervision for Individual and Group Spiritual Direction, and she still has space available for more students. It is a great opportunity for students already in the spiritual direction program, as well as for anyone who wants to learn more about contemplative spiritual practices. The course will meet November 7-9, 9:30am-3:00pm on both Friday and Saturday and then 2:00-5:00pm on Sunday. It is worth 1 supervision credit for the spiritual direction certificate, but Dr. Matthews is offering the option of taking it for 2 credits if you write a longer paper.
Please check out the reading list and syllabus and sign up for the class right away. If you are a matriculated student, contact the Registrar (firstname.lastname@example.org) to register; if you are a non-matriculated student, or “General Learner,” please go to Take a Course (on the www.gts.edu main menu) and register.
Feel free to contact Jodi Belcher at email@example.com if you have questions.
