On Easter Sunday, The General Theological Seminary hosted its traditional neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt on the Close. This year’s hunt was again spearheaded by Tommie Watkins, Jr. '16 (Diocese of Alabama), with support from the GTS Community Council. The event began on the Saturday before Easter when volunteers from the GTS Community and the surrounding neighborhood gathered to fill plastic eggs with candy. On Sunday afternoon, the 700 eggs were hidden on the grounds. Cloudy weather did not dampen the enthusiasm while seminary families as well as children from the Children’s Garden Preschool and the Chelsea neighborhood were welcomed onto the Close for an afternoon of excitement and relaxation.
