Mark your calendars!

The Women of General student group is hosting an afternoon on Lamentations with Rabbi Jo Hirschmann (bio below) on

November 20th from 3:00-4:30.

Rabbi Hirschmann will be giving an interactive seminar on the character of Zion in Lamentations. All are welcome. Location TBD.

This is also a call for volunteers to help with the event. It shouldn't require much work- mostly set up and clean up of our delicious snacks. Please email me at

skaplanov@gts.edu

if you are interested. Any help is truly appreciated!

Rabbi Jo Hirschmann is a professor at Hebrew Union College, a board certified chaplain and an ACPE supervisory candidate. A chaplain who has worked in hospice and psychiatric settings, she developed a new Clinical Pastoral Education program at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York City. With Rabbi Nancy H. Wiener, she is co-author of Maps and Meaning: Levitical Models of Contemporary Care.

Blessings,

Shana
