General Seminary Installs New Guild Chiefs

The Installation of the Guild Chiefs from the student body of The General Theological Seminary took place during Evensong in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd on February 4, 2016, with the Rev. Emily Wachter officiating. From left to right: Curtis Kennington, Chief Chimer; Deborah Lee, Chief Precentor; Alissa Anderson and Matt Jacobson, Co-Chief Sacristans.

All of the new Guild Chiefs are in the M.Div. Class of 2017, and were voted into their positions by their peers serving in each guild. The short installation ceremony included the traditional handing-over of the previous Chief Sacristan's academic gown and mace to the incumbents. This is the second year in which the extensive responsibilities of the Chief Sacristan position are being undertaken and shared by two seminarians as they enter their Wisdom Year next fall.

Congratulations to the newly installed Guild Chiefs of General Seminary.
