A New Call for Christine Purcell '04

ChristinePurcell100x150The Rev. Christine Purcell, Class of 2004, has been called to serve as Associate Rector at the Parish of Saint Matthew in Pacific Palisades, California. Most recently, she served as Rector of Christ Church in Westerly in the Diocese of Rhode Island. Prior to her service at Christ Church, she served as Interim Rector at two churches in Pennsylvania, St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Shippensburg and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Altoona. Purcell earned a B.A. in History from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut before settling in Pennsylvania to raise her family.  In 2000 when the younger of her two children began high school, she turned her attention to her life-long interest in faith and spirituality and began seminary studies at The General Theological Seminary..
