The Rev. Gideon L. K. Pollach, Class of 2006, has been called as the 16th Rector of St. John’s Church, Cold Spring Harbor, New York. He began serving last August. Pollach served for the past eight years as the Chaplain of Episcopal High School (EHS) in Alexandria, Virginia. He taught Theology and oversaw the school’s local and international community service programs. During the summers he served as a Priest-in-Charge at Emmanuel Church in Dublin, New Hampshire. Prior to working at EHS, he served as Curate at St Bart’s in New York City, where he was responsible for young adult ministries.
Pollach attended high school at St. Albans School in Washington, D.C., and Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut, where he majored in Music, graduating in 1996. After graduation, he was awarded a Thomas Watson Foundation Fellowship to study the practices of English Cathedrals at Cambridge University.
