The Rev. Canon Jadon D. Hartsuff has been called to be the eighth Rector of All Souls Parish in Washington, D.C. Hartsuff most recently served as Canon for Liturgy and Formation at Saint John’s Cathedral in Denver, Colorado. He previously served parishes in Pennsylvania, New York, and California. Born and raised in Michigan, Hartsuff studied Economics, Management, and Music before his career took him from Detroit to Chicago to Los Angeles, managing corporate giving for a consortium of private colleges, consulting in the hospitality sector, and leading marketing and operations for a retail ice cream brand. In response to the tragedies of 9/11, Hartsuff stepped out of the private sector to serve in the U.S. Army. Always keen to lead a firm of his own one day, he then did so in collaboration with a well-established Beverly Hills interior designer building, managing a team of designers and staff, while overseeing finance and logistics for construction projects in Europe and the Middle East.
Hartsuff’s call to the priesthood was nurtured at All Saints Beverly Hills. Along with his M.Div. with Honors from The General Theological Seminary, he also holds a Certificate in Spiritual Direction, and is currently serving as a member of our Board of Trustees. Other academic pursuits have included studying Mandarin at the Defense Language Institute, financial planning at UCLA, and congregational development with the Church Development Institute. He is active with the Consortium of Endowed Episcopal Parishes and the Gathering of Leaders, a group dedicated to the missionary call of Christ and church growth through transformational Episcopal Church leadership.
