The Rev. Donald F. Chamberlain, Class of 1967, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the age of 84. Born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts, Chamberlain was the son of Walter R. and Ruby M. (Stewart) Chamberlain and lived 20 years in Worcester, MA before moving to Holden, MA almost 20 years ago. He leaves his wife of 20 years, Sylvia J. (Rondeau) Roseen Chamberlain.
Chamberlain graduated from American International College in Springfield before attending General. He served as Pastor of St. Michaels-on-the-Height's Episcopal Church in Worcester from 1977 until his retirement in 2002. He spent the last 15 years serving as the Priest in charge at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Worcester. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting and maintaining motorcycles and cars. He looked forward to weekend motorcycle trips throughout New England with his close friends.
Besides his wife, Chamberlain leaves a son, Steven Chamberlain of Pittsfield; a daughter, Martha Brissette and her husband, Marty of Winthrop; three stepsons, Scott Roseen of Dudley, Mark Roseen of Holden and Drew Dykstar of Auburn; many grand and great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by two sons, Donald Luke Chamberlain and Bruce Chamberlain; a daughter, Beth Chamberlain; a brother, The Rt. Rev Bruce Chamberlain; and two wives, Constance Chamberlain and Barbara Chamberlain.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Worcester. The Rt. Rev. Douglas John Fisher, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Western Massachusetts, will preside. Interment will be private in Springfield.
