The Spring 2018 Issue of The General Seminary Quarterly will be “The Formation Edition.” The Communications Office is soliciting material from students that reflects what the seminary formation experience means to them. This could be an editorial piece, (i.e. “Formation & The Altar: Why Worship is at the Center of Formation”) or a personal reflection, (i.e. “How the Wisdom Year is Forming Me”). It could also be a very brief scriptural/theological reflection, a poem, or lyrics. It could also be a single photo, or drawing, or digital design piece.
There are only two requirements:
a. Length (Written): 250 Words; or
b. Resolution (Graphic): High Res – Enough at least for a ¼ page print piece. Must be submitted digitally.
2) Topic: The experience of formation at General Seminary.
Submissions will be evaluated based on insightfulness and precision. All voices and a diversity of backgrounds and experiences are desired.
The most exceptional pieces will be featured in the Spring Edition of The General Seminary Quarterly – both print and digital, as well as UpClose, our website, and social media. Note: this will be a particularly prominent edition, as it will be widely distributed at General Convention in Austin this summer.
All qualifying pieces will be featured in a Spring or Summer edition of UpClose, posted on our website, and distributed through social media.
Joshua Bruner, Director of Communications, is available for any questions, advice, or preliminary feedback.
How to submit: email to firstname.lastname@example.org by midnight, Thursday March 15. There is no limit to number of submissions.
