The Rev. Eric L. Brechner, Class of 1982, passed away suddenly from heart failure on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the age of 63.
Born in Los Angeles, CA, Brechner resided in Medford Lakes, NJ since 2000. He served as the Priest-in-Charge of St. Martin's Episcopal Church, Lumberton, NJ, and of Holy Family Episcopal Church, Laurel Springs, NJ, (formerly St. John's, Gibbsboro and Atonement, Laurel Springs). He has previously served as Chaplain to the School for Deacons.
Son of the late Verne and Virginia Brechner; he is survived by his life partner of 23 years, Steven Kessel; his sister, Danielle Brechner Hopkins; and his nephew, Kyle Hopkins.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018, at 10:00 AM, at Trinity Cathedral, 801 West State Street, Trenton, NJ 08618. Bishop Stokes, Class of 1990, will celebrate, and the Rev. Frank Crumbaugh, Class of 1984, will preach. Clergy are invited to vest; white stoles.
