Choosing GTS
Choosing GTS and Admissions

The General Theological Seminary seeks to create a community that values the presence and contributions of all God's people, and a central theme in the life of GTS in the new millennium has been the broadening diversity of its students, faculty, and staff. We rejoice in an intentional, spiritually based commitment to realize the inherent value of each and every member of the community.

Spouses and partners of students are welcomed into the community; we seek to help nurture their particular interests and address their concerns. The Close provides a safe and beautiful outdoor environment for children.  Childcare is available on campus, local public schools have received excellent ratings, and church-sponsored private schools are accessible for seminary children. Students with fewer family obligations may have more free time to experience the social, cultural, and entertainment opportunities outside of Chelsea Square.
