HS 132 Storying the Incarnation: The Infancy Narratives (INTENSIVE)

from 600.00

The infancy narratives of Matthew, Luke and the apocryphal gospel attributed to James are of such a rich and compelling nature that they have captured the imagination of artists, musicians, writers, and liturgists through the centuries. This course will focus on the literary development and theological significance of all three infancy narratives as we explore reflections of the stories in some of the great works of art they have inspired: enriching our personal devotion, the dramatic liturgy and inspiring music of our worship, and the physical environments in which we encounter them.

Visiting Prof. Dori Rockefeller.  1 credit or Audit.

This course is offered in intensive format.  Class meets Friday, November 10 from 8:45 am - 4:30 pm and Saturday, November 11 from 9:30 am - 4:30 pm.
