a NEW CALL FOR ALEX MARTIN’13

The Rev. Alexander Martin, Class of 2013, has been called as Rector of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Bay Village, Ohio, after serving as their Priest-in-Charge since August 2018. His installation and Celebration of Ministry will be November 21, 2021.

A native of Northeast Ohio, Martin received his Bachelor of Arts in History from The Ohio State University before attending General. He now serves as Vice President of the Alumni Executive Committee. In seminary, he served internships at the Church of the Ascension, Greenwich Village, NYC, and at the American Cathedral in Paris.

Martin served for five years as Associate Priest at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Cincinnati where he oversaw liturgy, pastoral care, and youth programs before being called to St. Barnabas in 2018. He lives right up the street from the church in the rectory with his husband Rob, a school administrator, and their Border Collie Maggie.
