IN MEMORIAM: Beatrice Billups ʼ92
The Rev. Beatrice "Bee" Moore Billups, Class of 1992, died on August 12 at the age of 80. She graduated from Villanova University in 1989, from General in 1992, and was ordained in 1993 when she became the first female full-time Episcopal priest serving a church parish on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. After leaving church ministry her career was in spiritual direction and counseling.
Born September 9, 1940 in Jacksonville, FL. she was daughter of the late Charles and Beatrice Moore. She lived with her beloved husband of 57 years, Frederick "Bud" Billups, in Wayne, PA for 20 years, then Annapolis, MD for 30 years and Newtown Square, PA since 2018.
The mother of son Bowen Billups (Sam Loutfi) and daughter Kathleen Morgan (Chip); sisters Geraldine Pearson, Sue Berry Nicholson (Nick) and Charlotte Moore; grandchildren Georgia and Justin Morgan; and many nieces and nephews, Billups is remembered for her kindness, humor, and love of life. There will be a Celebration of Life at St. David's Episcopal Church, 763 S. Valley Forge Road, Wayne, PA on Saturday, September 11 at 1 P.M.
