A New Call for Julia Fritts ‘08

The Rev. Julia Fritts, Class of 2008, has been called as Rector of St. Mark’s on the Hill in Pikesville, Maryland.

Fritts was ordained to the priesthood in 2009, after earning her Master of Divinity degree at General. She served parishes in Stamford, CT, Corvallis, Oregon, Sweet Home, Oregon, East Windsor, CT and Darlington, MD before joining St. Mark’s on the Hill in Pikesville, MD in 2018. Mother Julia served as Mission Priest in Charge until May 15, 2022, when she accepted St. Mark’s call to be its Rector. With Masters degrees also in Physical Therapy and Classical Acupuncture, she is the founder of Classical and NeuroAcupuncture Care, continuing a lifelong passion of helping those suffering in body, mind, or spirit.

Serving as both priest and acupuncturist in private practice, she is a Tai Chi and meditation teacher, a musician, and the founder of the bicoastal “got peace?” project, welcoming all seekers of the Holy into deeper relationship with each other and with God. A member of the Benedictine Order of Urban Missioners, she has a passion for the revitalization of Christian community, spiritual growth, and beautiful, transformational worship, sharing in Christ’s great welcome and love for all.
