Introduction to Ms. Kate Gungor

Learning the craft of ministry in a congregation is at the heart of a good MDiv. This is a vital and central part of the VTS MDiv. And it is lovely to watch congregations fall in love with their seminarian as they participate in the work of formation. What is true of the residential MDiv at VTS is also true of the the hybrid MDiv at GTS. Here you are required to work with a congregation in the region in which you live.

Today we meet Ms. Kate Gungor. Kate lives with her husband on the close. She currently serves as the coordinator for the contextual learning (CXM) program, the jewel of GTS’s hybrid MDiv program. In this capacity, Kate helps to organize our student meetings with their mentor teams which include their field site supervisor, their academic advisor and a personal mentor.

Kate is also a talented musician and on the pastoral staff at Good Shepherd New York, the congregation that provides a rich worship experience on Sunday mornings.
