A new class looming

Interest in the Hybrid Degree is high. It was as the Affiliation was finalized that the Admissions seasons was at its recruitment height so, next year, we will be even more focused on Admissions. Nevertheless, we had 84 applications which were started. Of those, 20 offers were made. These twenty students will have the chance to learn from Bishop Rowan Williams and to sit and engage with Brian McLaren; they will become the second cohort of students on the Hybrid MDiv.

There are so many people who deserve to be recognized by this achievement - the recruitment video was strong; current faculty had created a fabulous hybrid degree, the fascinating “open houses” that talked through the details of the program with prospective students were important; the advertising was good; and the “word of mouth” from current students was crucial. But on this day, let me recognize Ms. Jamie Tan - Assistant Dean for Academic Administration and Registrar. Jamie did the hard work of responding to all the questions and thoughts as people discerned whether this was the program for them.

Thank you Jamie. Now of course we have to turn offers into admits. But a good class is emerging.
