Strategic planning at GTS

The discussions with students last night was fabulous. We had a deep and important conversation. We discussed the state of the world, then the state of the Church, and then, finally, the ways in which GTS can make a difference. We talked about technology, polarization, racial justice, and AI. We wanted the ethos of GTS to be maintained. And perhaps, most importantly, there was a love and delight about the amazing Hybrid MDiv on which they are studying.

Today, there are two further Strategic Planning conversation. The first is with the staff of GTS; and the second is with local alumni of GTS. I am looking forward to both.

We are providing advice to the Board of Trustees who determine the strategic direction of General. How exactly can we make sure that we progress the kingdom of God? How exactly can we educate and form for the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a secular and polarized age? How exactly do we create possibilities for racial justice? These are the questions we are seeking to answer in this Strategic Planning process.
