VictorHunter

The Rev. Dr. Victor Edward Hunter Jr., Class of 1964, died Wednesday, January 5, 2022, age 86, in Mesquite, Texas. Born October 21, 1935 in Dallas, Texas, he was a pastor for many years at St. Mary's in Mesquite, Texas and also at St. Martins Episcopal Church in Lancaster, Texas. In his spare time, Victor enjoyed many things... he loved his fur babies, he found comfort in them, but was a big lover of all animals. He found so much joy in the church and in being the best man he could be at everything he did. He enjoyed the Kairos family and fell in love with how they changed his life, forever. Victors’ wife will always remember him as a wonderful, loving husband and provider and full of so many memories, that there are just too many to share and his daughter will always remember him as a father and friend that saved her.

Hunter is preceded in death by his parents; son, Chad; sister; aunts and uncles. He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Barbara Lee Hunter; daughter, Elizabeth Elwell and husband, Michael and his beloved fur babies, Angel, George, Oscar and Punkin. He will be laid to rest in Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.andersonclaytongonzalez.com for the Hunter Jr. family.
